According to a report from Fox News, Demi Moore is currently gearing up to release a “deeply personal” and “insightful” memoir about her life and experiences in the entertainment industry. Her publisher just released a statement in which they praised Demi’s upcoming work.
Scheduled for the 24th of September, HarperCollins announced the book on Wednesday, April 17th. In the book, her publisher explained, Demi talks about not only her strained relationship with her mother but also her marriages to Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher.
HarperCollins announced Moore had written a book covering some integral moments in her life, including body image problems, childhood trauma, as well as addiction. While dealing with an exploding career, celebrity status, and raising a family, Demi struggled to make things work, but ultimately prevailed.
Titled, Inside Out, it’s a book about what it’s like to become successful; how to survive, surrender, and how to be resilient. Fans of Demi Moore know that she came to prominence in her 20s as a daytime soap opera star, notably, in General Hospital.
She went on to hit it big in films such as A Few Good Men, Ghost, as well as St. Elmo’s Fire. Demi is now a children’s rights activist as well as the co-founder of Thorn, a nonprofit which deals with sex trafficking.
The seven-figure book deal was first announced in 2010, a time when she and the Two And A Half Men actor, Ashton Kutcher, were still a couple. In 2011, Moore announced she and Ashton were splitting up and they had officially divorced two years later.
HarperCollins refused to comment on whether her situation with Ashton Kutcher caused the book’s delay. Demi was a massive star in the 1990s and late 1980s, however, her career came to a standstill due to several box office flops.
Her 1997 flick, GI Jane, a role for which she famously shaved all of her hair off, was arguably the movie that led to her career’s downturn. For several years, Demi struggled to get work.
