On the 26th of July, Thursday, Demi Lovato’s fans gathered outside of the venue where she was supposed to perform but had to cancel due to an alleged heroin overdose and hospitalization.
In one video shared by a fan on Twitter, a big group of people can be heard singing the words to her latest song, “Sober” – the song that Demi wrote after she had relapsed after six years of sobriety.
And in another clip shared on social media, the same group of fans sing the lyrics to her song, “Tell Me You Love Me.” This comes after the 25-year-old collapsed in her home, and had to be taken to the hospital.
As it was previously reported, the 25-year-old singer was hospitalized on the 24th of July after she allegedly overdosed in her Hollywood Hills home.
TMZ reported that the paramedics had to administer Narcan, a pharmaceutical drug typically used to counteract the effects of an opiate overdose.
Demi’s performance at the BeachFest Concert Series on Thursday was canceled, as well as her cameo on Fox’s Beat Shazam, hosted by the actor, Jamie Foxx.
On Twitter afterward, her fans began a hashtag called, #PrayForDemi. And in the same exchange of tweets, fans of the “Sorry, Not Sorry,” singer, wrote about all of the different ways in which her music had helped them.
Words can't say enough…

One person wrote online, “I remember when I was in grade school, I was dealing with a lot of mental health problems, like anemia, and people bullied me about my weight, so I turned to use drugs.”
“But after I discovered Demi’s music, I realized that everything would be ok because someone like her was struggling too, so it means so much.”
Another Twitter user added that, without Demi, they would’ve given up entirely, but eventually chose not to, because her music was so inspiring and comforting at the same time. As you may know, Lovato has been nothing but candid about her struggles with mental health problems as well as drug abuse.
