Demi Lovato needed all her bravery to show off her body just the way it is, without editing the picture at all! The singer took to social media with one goal in mind – to use her voice and example to empower others and judging by the positive reaction she got to her unedited bathing suit picture, she succeeded.

Of course, it was not easy at all and Demi confessed that she was really scared to do it.

But she is well known for being raw and open with her fans, which is why this was just another step towards making her message even clearer.

It looks like Demi wanted to get out of her comfort zone and just stop being ashamed with her body.

In the caption, she wrote: ‘This is my biggest fear. An unedited photo of me in a bikini. And guess what, it is CELLULITE!!!! I’m just literally sooooo tired of being ashamed of my body, editing it (yes the other bikini pics were edited - and I hate that I did that but it’s the truth) so that others think I’m THEIR idea of what beautiful is, but it’s just not me. This is what I got.’

She went on to say that ‘I want this new chapter in my life to be about being authentic to who I am rather than trying to meet someone else’s standards. So here’s me, unashamed, unafraid and proud to own a body that has fought through so much and will continue to amaze me when I hopefully give birth one day. Anyway, here’s me, RAW, REAL! And I love me. And you should love you too!’

And that was not all! Aside from inspiring many women out there, she also revealed that she was also ‘working on an anthem’ in the studio.

Later on, she took to her IG stories to add: ‘Literally shaking still…that was so hard for me to post. But wow… so blown away by the love and support.’
