Demi Lovato isn’t interested in dating for the moment. The singer – who appeared on the latest issue of InStyle – opens up about adjusting to her life as a newly single woman in her twenties. Demi – who’s touring with DJ Khaled throughout the United States – claimed, “I’m not suffering because I’m alone.”
Lovato said for years; she wasn’t developing as a person because she “wasn’t learning about (her)self.” Lovato said she’s slowly beginning to understand her unique intricacies and idiosyncrasies.
“Now, I’m learning about what I like, what I need, and what I want.” Celebrity Insider reported last week that Demi and Wilmer Valderrama recently met up for a coffee.
The pair used to date for over five years, but sources close the couple claim they are just friends. Furthermore, in Lovato’s autobiographical documentary, she stated they’ll always be pals.
As for Lovato’s position on dating, she claimed, “I’m very fluid, and I think love is love. You can find it in any gender.” Demi added it’s vital for her to have the freedom to flirt with whomever she pleases.
Although some may find it surprising, according to the singer, she’s typically the first one to make a move; she either asks for the number directly or “slides into their DM’s” on Instagram.
And while she’s open to dating many people, there are some stipulations at play. She claims whoever goes after her next has to “treat me like a queen.” Apparently, the last men to try failed, including UFC competitors and actors alike.
In the past, Demi dated the MMA fighter, Guilherme “Bomba” Vasconcelos, but they subsequently broke up. Sources close to the pair stated, “they just couldn’t get along because they’re vastly different people. Bomba was a bit too strong-headed too.”
