According to a new report, Demi Lovato is still very much focused on her sobriety which is why she is allegedly going to continue her rehab program for the rest of this year! Her mom previously stated that the singer has been sober for the past 90 days and it looks like she’s planning for things to stay that way.
As fans know, not only did Demi relapse after years of being sober but she also suffered a drug overdose on July 24 that reportedly almost killed her.
Now, a source tells ET that ‘Demi is taking her sobriety extremely serious, and knows she has a long road ahead of her. At the end of the day, Demi’s doing this for herself. She has to remain sober for her, but every time she has family members or friends visit her, it reminds her of all of the other important people in her life who she needs to fight for as well.’
The insider also claims Lovato is determined to continue her treatment for the rest of this year.
After being released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, she checked into rehab in August, and she has been focused on regaining her sobriety ever since.
‘Demi is thankful she is still alive and is doing whatever she can to never get to that point again,’ says the insider.
Meanwhile, as mentioned, Demi’s mom Dianna De La Garza stopped by Conversations with Maria Menounos and opened up about her daughter’s recovery process and health, revealing that she has been three months sober.
‘I could not be more thankful or more proud of her because addiction being a disease, it’s work. It is not easy. There are no shortcuts,’ the mother stated.
