A former model, Natasha Prince, accused famous magician, David Blaine, of rape today, Thursday, October 19th in a report from The Daily Beast. Prince claimed the 44-year-old magician raped her after the pair had drinks together at his home in a neighborhood of London in the summer months of 2004.
The model said she was “limp” and “very floaty,” as well as “in and out of a deep sleep.” Natasha claimed when she awoke the lights were on and she was lying down naked with no recollection of what had happened.
In a statement to the publication, Scotland Yard confirmed their officers are investigating the allegation of rape.
The accusation first hit the desks of police officials on the 17th of November in 2015. The model was just 21-years-old at the time of the alleged assault, and currently, police have made no arrests; the investigation is ongoing.
Additionally, the police asked David to come to the United Kingdom for an interview so the authorities can get a good idea of what had happened the night of the alleged incident. Marty Singer, the attorney for David, said his client unequivocally denies all of the allegations.
He said he declines the notion that he raped or sexually assaulted any women, ever, especially in the year of 2004. The lawyer added that his client would abide by the police investigation no matter the cost because he “has nothing to hide.”
After the incident hit the mainstream, the magician spoke to the Daily Beast by telephone and said, “Wow, there’s absolutely nothing. That’s crazy.” This incident is just one of many sexual assaults to hit the mainstream media lately, as the disgraced producer, Harvey Weinstein, came under heavy criticism for an alleged thirty years of sexual misconduct and abuse.
