Danny Trejo is not only an iconic actor but he is also a real life hero now after rescuing a baby from an overturned car! Danny was in Los Angeles’ Sylmar neighborhood when a car accident took place. It can be said that the Heat and Machete star was just in the right place at the right time.
Two vehicles collided at the Hubbard Street and Jackman Avenue intersection and one of them ended up being overturned.
Trejo did not hesitate to go from a simple bystander to a hero as he jumped into action, helping save a little boy’s life.
According to ABC7 Eyewitness News, the actor was quick to save the baby inside the car.
He was right behind a crash in Sylmar and pulled a special needs baby out of an overturned car. He distracted the boy until grandma was OK. ♥️ —> https://t.co/tS2Za4bZVZ@ABC7 pic.twitter.com/U9iLzAkHkA

Reportedly, he crawled inside the wreckage to get the child out but since he could not unbuckle the seatbelt, a young woman also jumped into action, managing to do it from the other side of the car and allowing the star to finally pull out the child from the car.
Danny told the news outlet afterwards that ‘the only thing that saved that little kid was his car seat, honest to God.’
He also urged parents as well as motorists to pay attention and be very careful as to avoid such scary, life threatening situations.
The Los Angeles Fire Department told ABC7 that while three people were rushed to the hospital, luckily enough, no one had any life-threatening injuries.
While the cause of the accident has not been officially determined, the actor claims one of the drivers ran a red light.
‘Everything good that has happened to me has happened as a direct result of helping someone else. Everything,’ he also stated.
