'Dancing With The Stars' Diva Drama! Vanessa Lachey And Debbie Gibson's Egos Are Reportedly Out Of Control
Season 25 of Dancing With the Stars hasn’t even premiered yet, and there are already reports of some serious diva-like behavior going on behind the scenes. According to the insider former pop star Debbie Gibson is causing some major drama.
A source on the set of the popular reality competition says that Gibson, 47, isn’t getting along with her dance partner, Alan Bersten, the other contestants, or the production staff.
“She is acting like her background in dance makes her a shoe-in to win this season,” said the source. “But she hasn’t been working as hard as some of the other contestants, so she could be surprised!”
The insider went on to say that Gibson has been “rude” and “bossy” to the DWTS staff during rehearsals, even though it has been thirty years since Gibson topped the charts with her album Out of the Blue and been relevant in the music industry.
She apparently feels entitled to a win because she used to be super famous, and her behavior reflects those feelings of entitlement.
However, it appears that Gibson is getting some competition in the diva category. Apparently Vanessa Lachey, 36, is throwing around a huge ego on set because she thinks she is a “huge celebrity.”
The wife of fellow contestant, Nick Lachey, and mother of three is partnered up with Maks Chmerkovskiy, while her husband is dancing with Chmerkovskiy’s wife, Peta Murgatroyd.
The rivalry is reportedly getting fierce, and the constant bickering is annoying everyone, according to the source.
Fans of the show will soon find out if these two alleged divas are all talk, or if one or both have the goods to make the finals.
There are strong contestants this year that could give them a run for their money and stop their attempts at winning the Mirrorball Trophy.
Also competing with Gibson and the Lachey’s are: Malcolm in the Middle’s Frankie Muniz, Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran, Paralympic athlete Victoria Arlen, the WWE’s Nikki Bella, Property Brothers star Drew Scott, Pretty Little Liars’ star Sasha Pieterse, gymnast Jordan Fisher, violinist Lindsey Stirling, and former NFL star Terrell Owens.
Dancing With the Stars returns tonight on ABC.
