Counting On star Jason Duggar is officially the most eligible bachelor in the family. The twelfth child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar just recently turned 18, and he is already earning a six-figure income on his own.
According to Radar Online, Jason bought a home in December 2016 – with the help of his dad – for $33,000, and last month he sold it for $167,000. After renovating the three-bedroom, two bath single-family home with new hardwood floors, creating an open floor plan, and adding a modern gray and white color scheme, Jason took home $134,000 in profit.
He also opted for a country feel in his redesign by adding some distressed wood in some areas of the 2,275 square foot house that sits on one acre, and he improved the outdoor space by adding a wooden deck.
Property records reveal that Jason spent the last year-and-a-half gutting and renovating the Prairie Grove, Arkansas, house which was originally built in 1958, and after the sale, it looks like he has started a successful house flipping career.
This makes Jason one of the few children in the Duggar family to have a job. Most rely on income from their reality show.
Jason doesn’t often appear on Counting On, but that is probably because he isn’t married or courting anyone. Fans first met the 18-year-old on the Duggar special 14 Children and Pregnant Again which aired on Discovery Health Channel back in 2004, when he was just four years old.
Jason! The big 18! We love you so much! You have a very bright future ahead because of your commitment to Christ and your kind way of caring for and serving others. We love the great example you are for your younger brothers and sisters. We are thankful for so many wonderful memories and the exciting days to come! It was a lot of fun to celebrate you with family and friends at your early birthday party.
When he was eight, his family got their own show, 17 Kids & Counting – which later turned into 18, then 19 Kids & Counting –, and he got a lot of attention during a family trip to Atlanta, Georgia when he fell into an orchestra pit. The fall resulted in Jason breaking his teeth, fracturing his jaw, spraining his knee, and needing several stitches in his face.
In addition to real estate, Jason also enjoys making videos and has dreams of getting into the entertainment business. Jason Duggar was an extra in the 2010 film Courageous, even though his scene ended up on the cutting room floor, and he has also shared that he is interested in being a videographer.
Season 8 of Counting On will premiere Monday, July 30th on TLC.
