Counting On - James Duggar Shows Off His Chainsaw Skills In The Most Creative Way
Counting On mostly focuses on the lives of the adult children of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar who are married with kids, but every once in a while one of the younger kids will get some screen time on the TLC reality show or on the family members’ numerous Instagram accounts.
Jim Bob and Michelle’s 13th child - James Andrew - recently turned 19, and not only did he get a shout out on his parents’ Instagram earlier this month to celebrate his birthday, he was also the star of another post that showed off the teen’s chainsaw skills.
On the @DuggarFam page this week, the TLC stars explained that much to their dismay, they realized this past winter that their favorite tree in the front yard of the Duggar family compound in Arkansas was at risk of losing its giant limbs due to decay, so they decided to go ahead and cut it down.
The family shared a photo of something that “only James could think” up, which was their beloved tree carved vertically into the word “Duggar”.
“Only James could think this one up and make it happen!! 😀” read the caption. "...Well, when our boys are involved in a project like that, you never know what is going to happen! Next thing we knew, the branches were all gone, and instead removing the remaining trunk along with the rest of it, James decided to test out his chain saw skills! After a few hours we started to see the letters take shape: D-U-G-G-A-R!”
They finished up the caption by writing that James did a “fantastic job on the whole thing,” and if there was ever a doubt which family lives in this big house, everyone now knows that “it’s the Duggars!! 😁🌳”
According to Soap Dirt, James is the “fixer” in the family who can do anything he sets his mind to. His mom described James as someone who is “always taking things apart and putting them back together” when he was little.
James Duggar also has his commercial driver’s license (CDL) and has learned to drive big trucks and machinery. Even though he is 19, James isn’t on social media, but that could change soon.
Most Duggar kids wait until they are engaged or married to start a social media account, with the exception being Jana Duggar . She is still single and living at home, but she keeps her fans up-to-date on what’s going on via Instagram.
James Duggar is the “funcle” or “fun uncle,” according to his mom Michelle, and all the younger boys in the family want to be just like him.
New episodes of Counting On air Tuesday nights on TLC.
