Between a prison sentence and a cancer diagnosis, it has been a challenging year for Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller. But now, she is teasing fans on social media that good news is coming. Is it possible that Miller is now cancer free?
According to Radar Online, Miller has been fighting for her life these past few months after doctors diagnosed her with Burkitt Lymphoma – a rare form of cancer that affects the lymph nodes. Insiders say that Miller has had a difficult time with her chemotherapy, but she continues to share a lot about her health situation on Instagram.
In her latest post, she shared a throwback pic of herself smiling while leaning out of an old phone booth, and she added an interesting caption.
Fans immediately started asking Miller if she was cancer-free, while others wondered if she was out of the hospital. Some thought that the comment was about Dance Moms and hoped that season eight was in the works.
Lifetime canceled the reality show last month after Miller’s cancer diagnosis. But, if she does end up getting a clean bill of health, there really isn’t anything keeping it from coming back.
Last week, Miller told fans that she started her third round of chemo, and a source claims that Miller’s health is getting worse instead of better. They added that the reality star has always been about getting the job done and making shortcuts, but she can’t do that with cancer.
We still don’t know what the “amazing news” is that the 51-year-old was referring to, so we are going to have to keep following her closely on social media until she spills the tea.
After another 2 hour MRI this morning, the pros thought I needed one more quick little emergency surgery! Ugh! I’m in recovery now and texting so everything must be ok,just hiccups in my plans! I’m on a tight schedule; shooting two projects and I need to get out of here and on with my life!!! Please keep me in your prayers?? I’m grateful for all the well wishes! #ALDC #aldcla #dancemoms #abbyleemiller #lymphoma @hoomanmelamedmd
The cancer diagnosis came immediately after Miller’s transfer from Victorville Federal Prison to a Van Nuys, California, halfway house. Last year, a judge sentenced her to one year and one day in prison after she pleaded guilty to one count of concealing bankruptcy assets when she failed to report an international monetary transaction.
Miller recently revealed that she is writing a tell-all book (via a ghostwriter) about her time in prison, and she says it will be similar to Orange is the New Black. It will outline her life while incarcerated and the working title is Life Behind Barres.
An insider says that the book will also touch on her “current trauma,” as well as “dark trauma that dates back to her childhood.” It will reveal Miller’s emotional and physical pain, and “pull at the heartstrings of the readers.”
Life Behind Barres will be Abby Lee Miller’s second book. Back in 2014, she released Everything I Learned About Life, I Learned in Dance Class.
