Corey Feldman has dressed up as Batman and it’s all for a good reason. The actor and activist donned the costume to drum up support for a very special, virtual fundraising that he is taking part in. The cast of Goonies is reuniting, again, to help raise money for No Child Hungry. On Saturday, December 5, 2020, beginning at 5 p.m. PT/ 8 p.m./ET the cast will do a Goonies script read and fans of the iconic eighties movie are thrilled.
The Goonies virtual reunion will take place on Facebook live and joining Corey Feldman will be original cast members Martha Plimpton, Kerri Green, Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, Jonathan Ke Quan, Jeff Cohen, Robert Davi, and Joe Pantoliano.

Though the event is a fundraiser, there is no fee required to join in and watch the Facebook Live. It is hopeful; however, that people will be moved to donate as the nation is facing a perilous time due to the resurgence of COVID-19 that has left many people out of work and struggling to pay bills, pay rent, and buy food.
With many families opting to keep their children home from school, many kids are simply not getting adequate nutrition. Public schools operate food programs that for many children, provided two square meals per day. No Kid Hungry aims to raise $100,000 with the fundraiser. In addition to the original cast, there will be specials guests. Many believe that super Goonies fan Josh Gad will reunite with the cast and quite possibly Steven Spielberg, Richard Donner, and Cyndi Lauper.
Warner Brothers released a statement on Twitter with more information about the fundraiser. Corey Feldman revealed through his Twitter account that he had been preparing for the live Goonies script read throughout the week.
What do you think about the Goonies virtual reunion and fundraiser? Are you going to watch the script reading live?
