CNN has decided to go after Donald Trump with a new ad, and they were mocked for doing so.
It is a well-established fact that Trump despises CNN and its reporters with a passion.
After using the network for several millions of dollars of free publicity during the election, once he was elected president, he turned on the cable news channel.
Via social media and press conferences, the current president of the United States tagged CNN as the Fake News Network.
In his endless feud against CNN, he asked his supporters to boycott the media outlet and shared an inappropriate meme of a train running over a journalist with the company’s logo on his head.
Fed up, CNN released what they called “Facts First” ad where they showed an apple on the screen, and the voice of a narrator explained if someone calls this fruit by another name, it will still be an apple.
The ad is seen by many as a joke; some people said it was a peach and others laughed.
One person stated: “CNN has trouble with their lessons they want to give to others. We know you’re ultra Liberal news!!!”
Another claimed: “@cnn sets itself up to look even more guilty of being full of sh*t. Desperate. Just go out of business, give your special interest funds back, shake loose your advertisers, and call it a day.”
A pro-Trump voter tore into CNN and explained that they spin facts and are biased towards Republicans.
The commenter wrote: “Much of their reporting is “spun.” Facts get distorted & on top of that, CNN is heavily biased & dishonest towards the president. There’s a double standard because Democrats get treated better than Republicans, especially when it comes to the presidency. CNN is part of the mainstream media. The mainstream media is an extension of the Democrat Party. Fun fact: I used to watch CNN a whole heck of a lot until slowly but surely, I started to find out the truth. It was during the election that I noticed how biased they were towards President Trump. Nowadays, they never report on any of his accomplishments thus far in his presidency. It’s all negative, dishonest bullcrap. I don’t understand how people cannot see how partial they are.”
While they were rare, some viewers did defend the network by writing statements like this one: “It’s weird how so many people don’t want to accept the truth and call what your fake reporting news. It’s hard to understand how they can see things so differently.”
Is Trump right or wrong to call CNN fake news? Do you watch CNN?
