Clayne Crawford is taking it all in good stride. As you may know, Crawford lost his job on the set of “Lethal Weapon” to the American Pie star, Sean William Scott – an actor the public hasn’t seen in a good long while. As it was previously reported, Sean is taking over Crawford’s role as Riggs.
On Instagram today, Crawford posted a black-and-white silhouette photo of himself along with a very positive and congratulatory message.
Ironically, the image of himself sitting while looking sad on the set is juxtaposed to the caption’s message which is mostly one of positivity and encouragement.
Crawford hasn’t been known for positivity according to reports, as staff and other crew members complained about him so much that he was subsequently fired for making the working environment “hostile.”
Following the news of his exit from the series, many of his fans and friends came out in support of him. One fan, in particular, wrote, “don’t worry about it, Crawford. You were probably too talented for them, anyway.”
However, not everyone was on his side: “the fact that you got fired is a testament to your character, more than likely. Maybe, it’s time for some honest self-reflection, that way it doesn’t happen again in the future.”
As for Sean William Scott, movie-goers grew accustomed to seeing him on screen as Steve Stifler, the party-boy in the legendary comedy installment, American Pie and all of its sequels.
Since then, he starred in several action movies as well as comedy films but then disappeared for a short while. However, he did have a successful return to the screen with the Goon franchise, one that was both critically acclaimed and enjoyable to fans.
