Christina Aguilera opened up about being on tour with her kids while chatting with ET before her Los Angeles stop, and while it’s definitely tricky being on the road with young ones, the star confessed that she wouldn’t ‘have it any other way.’ Learn why that is and more!
‘I mean, it is a lot of extra work but it is amazing. It is actually why I was hesitant because it may be a lot to juggle,’ Aguilera explained to the outlet.
As fans know, she is the mother of a boy named Max, who is 10, and a girl named Summer, 4!
The Liberation Tour is Christina’s very first one in over a decade so touring while being a mom is a whole new experience for the talented singer.
She went on to say that ‘It has been a very beautiful and emotional experience honestly, just because it has been a long time in the making. I had been, you know, doing The Voice for a while, and it has been a labor of love for quite some time, and my fans have been so patient while I took time out to be with my family, be a mom, which is so important to me.’
‘But then, of course, my soul’s hurting being away from the stage, which is my ultimate home and has been since I was 7 years old.’
This tour, Aguilera has been focusing on her career but also her kids that came along with her and sometimes it may be hard to do both.
‘I’m ultimately Mama Bear, so whenever we check into a hotel, it is hard. Sometimes it is four in the morning, but it isn’t all about me. It’s different from touring when you are 21 years old. It is very narcissistic, and all you think about is yourself. All you have to think about is yourself, and now you are thinking about the blankies and the favorite stuffies and all the mom stuff.’
She added: ‘But it is honestly just definitely in her blood. She [Summer] has surprised me. My son comes in and out, and he is a trouper too – as long as he has his Fortnite here and there.’
