Chrissy Teigen’s fans are well aware of her humorous style, including coy jabs at her husband – but they’re always in good fun. Their latest anniversary proved no different, as the former supermodel threw some shade at her husband, John Legend, who recently acquired EGOT status.
On their fifth wedding anniversary, Teigen wrote, “12 years ago today, I met the man of my dreams. And 5 years ago today, we got married.” The star added some other sweet words, writing that she and her man have had a wonderful experience together.
But in typical Chrissy Teigen fashion, the model just had to throw in a quick shot at John, adding, “But you are an a*shole for release your NBC The Voice news on my target launch day, for real.”
Just a few hours beforehand, John announced that he was joining the team of judges on the set of The Voice. And right around that same time, the model shared some of her own news.

12 years ago today, I met the man of my dreams. And 5 years ago today, we got married. We have two babies and some pups and a life I am grateful to have. My everything, I love you and am so proud of the story we’ve created. But you are an asshole for releasing your @nbcthevoice news on my target launch day for real
On the 13th of September, Chrissy announced that she was releasing her Cravings collection kitchenware in Target, set for release on the 30th of September.
In several posts that followed, the entrepreneur shared a number of excited messages, clearly elated at her recent venture into business. Later, John promoted his wife’s new collection, writing on his account that her products were coming to a “target near you.”
As it was previously reported, John earned the EGOT status – the winner of an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony – joining the ranks of very few performers.
John worked alongside Andrew Lloyd Webber for their Broadway rendition of Jesus Chris Superstar Live – the classic play. On Twitter, Chrissy wrote that John was the “EGOT GOAT,” meaning the Greatest Of All Time to ever earn the combination of accolades.
