Chris Rock Comes Clean About His Cheating And Divorce

Chris Rock is brutally sincere as he opens up about his cheating and divorce even on stage. He’s currently in the middle of his first nationwide tour in years.
Chris Rock sat down during an interview with Rolling Stones and remembered some of his past problems.
He shared the most sincere details about his divorce from Malaak Compton-Rock, who was his wife for 19 years.
The couple announced their separation back in February 2014 and they have finalized the divorce which also included a harsh custody battle, in August 2016.
Chris Rock admitted as a joke to Rolling Stone’s Stephen Rodrick that he’s currently on the “alimony tour”.
Throughout his article, Rodrick paints an image on how the comedian brought up his divorce during a show that took place in Denver, describing his infidelities.
“’I was a piece of shit,” says Rock as the crowd goes quiet. He segues into his infidelities and gets disarmingly specific, describing three women: one famous, one semi-famous, and one a member of the retail class.
Later on, in the same article, Rodrick writes:
“Rock mentions in his act that he thought he could get away with bad behavior in his marriage because he was the famous breadwinner. He now knows the opposite is true. ‘That’s bullshit,’ he says, rolling his eyes. ‘That actually goes the other way. My faults are magnified. Your significant other, if they really love you, has a high opinion of you. And you let them down.'”
Chris Rock also confessed Rodrick that during his little talk about the divorce during hid act he toned things down. His reason is the fact that he has a microphone and his former wife doesn’t.
He said that he’s sick and tired of being angry, as anger is not the coolest place to find yourself into.
Chris Rock has been very well-known for his searing comments on married life, as he used to joke, “Marriage is so tough. Nelson Mandela got divorced — he got out of jail after 27 years of torture, spent six months with his wife and said, ‘I can’t take this sH#@ no more.'”
