Chris Hemsworth has apparently been wondering whether or not his Hollywood career has ‘suffered’ in any way since he’s become a father. During an interview for GQ Australia, the star explained that ‘I do wonder sometimes if we [he and wife Elsa] had not met, what my career would look like. Have I made decisions based on that? How has that influenced me?’
He went on to further reveal that ‘There are times when I have thought, ‘Wow, because having children’s more important to me, some of my roles have suffered.”
Of course, that doesn’t mean he ever regrets having a family but Chris is still very ‘aware’ that he had to sacrifice a lot to be a father of three.
As fans know, he and his wife are the parents of Tristan, India Rose and Sasha.
‘There’s definitely a couple of films I could have put way more energy into, but I was like, ‘No, I would rather be with my kids.’’
Hemsworth has accepted that being a parent is a great responsibility and he needs to put in hard work to be a good father.
‘It can’t be a truly individual, selfish endeavor but we still need to take care of our own.’
One challenge that he has encountered when it comes to raising kids as a celebrity is teaching them to be grateful for their privileged life.
About his wealth, Chris stated that ‘I feel gross about it. I do not want them to feel like they are privileged in any way. The fact that we have money and that their parents are famous, that somehow they are special, that really scares me because we grew up with no money.’
