Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are still wondering about the dramatic fallout at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, but it won’t be long before their questions are answered. The next Avengers flick will hit theaters in May of 2019 and as far as Chris Hemsworth is concerned, it’s even more shocking than the first.
In an interview with Esquire, the Thor star opened up about the upcoming Avengers movie and admitted that he was blown away by the script. The actor was impressed with how the directors were able to weave together so many different storylines in the epic crossover without making things too messy.
While Infinity War, the third movie in the Avengers franchise, shocked fans, Hemsworth believes the next one will outdo it.
“If you were shocked by [Infinity War], I think the second one is even more shocking, for other reasons entirely,” Hemsworth explained, adding that he is even more excited about what happens in the next film.
Unfortunately, Hemsworth did not elaborate further about what will happen in the next movie, which leaves fans wondering which of their favorite characters will survive to the end. According to Entertainment Weekly, Chris Evans is done playing Captain America and will not star in any more Marvel films.
Hemsworth’s contract is also ending after the upcoming movie, though he has talked about starring in one more Thor movie following the success of Taika Waititi’s Ragnarok, which did a lot to revive the character’s story.
While we wait to see if Hemsworth is done with the franchise or not, Marvel reportedly just released some concept art for Avengers 4. The poster shows pretty much all of the superheroes that survived Thanos’ finger snap, including Thor, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), War Machine (Don Cheadle), and Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).

The studio has not confirmed that the poster is official, but it does give us a good look at what some of the characters might look like in the upcoming film.
A second piece of art also shows Thanos (Josh Brolin) rocking a new suit of armor. The pic shows the titan wielding a sword and the Infinity Gauntlet, which was destroyed at the end of Infinity War. Marvel has not commented on the leaked promotional art.
Chris Hemsworth will be back in Avengers 4 (yet untitled) which will open in theaters on May 3, 2019.
