The actress Chloe Grace Moretz, together with Gabby Douglas, the gymnast, revealed that their mothers are mentors to them. In the context of a women empowerment campaign called #ActuallySheCan, both the stars declared that they support the campaign and that the advice they received from their mothers was crucial for their careers.
Chloe, aged 19, has been in out in the public’s view ever since she was very young. She said that she always counts on her mother’s help when it comes to making decisions. And as it seems, her mother, Teri Duke-Moretz is very good at giving advice, given Chloe’s career.
The star had a photo shoot with her mother in the context of the Allergan campaign. The shooting also had Gabby, the actress Gabourey Sidibe, aged 33, TV host Amanda de Cadenet, aged 44 and the supermodel Iman, 61. For this there were two photographers, Vinoodh Matadin and Inez van Lamsweerde.

Chloe told the public that there were several times when she called her mother simply because she didn’t know what to decide at some point. She said that she was always there for her, asking her what options does she have, what is her goal and always gave her a good advice. Moreover, the star confessed that her mother was the one who taught her about feminism and told her to wait until she changes her body.
Gabby also considers her mother Natalie Hawkins a mentor in her life. The gold medal Olympics winner posed with her older sister Arielle Hawkins in the shooting too. She declared that role models are essential to her and that they inspire an entire next generation. Moreover, she said she’s thinking about the young girls who need encouragement and positive words in order to gain confidence in themselves and to become strong women.
