According to the couple, one of the main reasons why they decided to put an end to Fixer Upper were the kids but not because Joanna is expecting! Now, Chip and Joanna opened up about the many rumors surrounding them in a brand new interview.
‘There are so many [rumors], even leading up to it – I had this skincare line, so I am leaving. It made it seem like I was doing my own thing and Chip did not even know about it. That was just a big rumor. That our marriage is on the rocks…I was pregnant. It’s funny when you start hearing this stuff. I was like, ‘I guess people can just make stuff up,’’ the mother of four explained.
As fans of the HGTV pair certainly know, just last month, they announced that they would be ending their TV show following its upcoming fifth season.
Chip has explained that from his point of view, it’s better if people miss them rather than getting bored with their content.
‘That is honestly what led us to the decision to leave the show. We just felt like now’s the right time.’
This guy right here… I get to live life with him. I get to hear his thoughts and benefit from his wisdom and encouragement on a daily basis. The reason I am who I am today is because Chip pushed me to go for it. People think of him as a jokester, and he is. It’s a huge part of why I fell in love with him in the first place. But he is so much more than that. He is the ultimate cheerleader, coach and dream maker. I am so thrilled that his book releases today mostly because I believe it holds truth that the world is in desperate need of. I am always proud to be Chip’s wife but today more than ever. I know this book was a true labor of love. Well done, Chip Carter Gaines! #CapitalGaines @chipgaines
The married couple also stated that they have been loving every minute of filming the last season which is set to wrap up at the beginning of November.
That being said, even though the two are not going to change their minds about ending the show, they haven’t excluded returning to TV after taking a break away from it.
