Just a few days after Bill Cosby went to prison for three to ten years, officials have revealed Cosby’s living space and amenities. Mr. Cosby, convicted of three counts of aggravated sexual assault, is incarcerated at the SCI Phoenix in Collegeville, Pennsylvania.
In a report from Fox News, the publication claims that the press secretary for the state’s Department Of Corrections, Amy Worden, told them the comedian is now sitting in a small, single, cell, that’s 7-feet by 13-feet in size, with 10 foot high ceilings.
Moreover, authorities granted Cosby the right for access to a game room, an exercise room, and he’ll be able to purchase a television, radio, or tablet, that way he can receive emails.
According to Worden, the aforementioned amenities and items are a regular for prison inmates; he’s not receiving special treatment. At the moment, Cosby is in a jail cell near the infirmary, however, she claims Cosby will move to the general population in the future.
Worden explained that Cosby is a celebrity, and for that reason, he is an unusual case. “He’s being kept in a certain part of the facility,” she remarked.
As it was previously reported, Cosby allegedly already has his own nick-name right now, “OG.” However, it’s possible the report of his prison-moniker is incorrect, considering the press secretary for the corrections department indicated that Cosby is in his own cell right now.
Either way, the rest of Cosby’s life will likely be behind bars. This is the first time a prolific actor has gone to prison since the #MeToo movement began.
However, as some may know, Cosby’s allegations came to the surface back in 2014, just three years before the social movement started in late 2017. The next major player in Hollywood to face conviction is Mr. Harvey Weinstein, the ex-owner of The Weinstein Company.
