Charlize Theron is going viral now that the new trailer for the upcoming movie Bombshell has been released. Charlize plays former Fox anchor Megyn Kelly, while Nicole Kidman portrays Gretchen Carlson and Margot Robie plays Kayla Pospisil. The movie focuses on the explosive scandal that erupted when Gretchen Carlson stood up against Fox head Roger Aisles and launched charges of sexual harassment against the mogul in 2016. The allegations forced Aisles (played by John Lithgow) to resign. He died shortly after the scandal broke.
While many are anxiously looking forward to the movie and what many believe will be Oscar-worthy performances by Margot Robbie (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), Nicole Kidman (The Hours) and Charlize Theron (Monster), many are now simply blown away by how incredible Charlize’s transformation into Megyn Kelly truly is.
Charlize is barely unrecognizable and while Nicole and Margot both had stunning transformations, they simply aren’t on the same level as Charlize’s. Margot’s character, Kayla Pospisil isn’t based on a real character but a fictional one added to the movie.

Though the movie will primarily focus on Nicole Kidman’s portrayal of Gretchen Carlson, who not only sued Aisles and won $20 million, but is credited by many as kicking off the sexual harassment suits and allegations that paved the way for the Me Too movement, it is Charlize’s transformation that has become the most talked about aspect of the movie’s trailer release.
In the movie’s trailer, Charlize, Nicole, and Margot as Megyn, Gretchen, and Kayla are seen in an elevator where there seems to be an unspoken discomfort as if each woman knows that Roger Aisles has just engaged in unsavory behavior. Though there seems to be this type of knowing amongst the women, no one verbalizes the issue. It’s as if they are showing that there is an open secret that has yet to be verbalized. Gretchen Carlson was fired after she pushed off Roger Aisles and his sexual advances towards her. Instead of taking the unjust action quietly, she fought back and opened the door to other women to also file suit and come forward with their stories of abuse and harassment.
