Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan announced just five months ago that they were divorcing after almost a decade of marriage, and both of them are already back in the dating game. Neither one is ready to get serious with someone new, but they are both going out on dates and having some fun.
“[Jenna] has been on a few dates but doesn’t talk about a boyfriend,” reveals an insider. “Jenna is busy working and going back and forth between L.A. and Atlanta. She’s in a really great place.”
The World of Dance host is currently in Atlanta to film a guest arc on the Fox medical drama The Resident.
Meanwhile, Tatum has only had one movie come out in 2018 so far, making it a quiet year for the A-list actor.
Tatum and Dewan’s divorce has been moving forward amicably, and they are currently in the process of selling their home in Beverly Hills and dividing up their other assets. But, their top priority is co-parenting their 5-year-old daughter, Everly.
According to People Magazine, everything is going well between the exes, and nothing much has changed since they were together. An insider says that the split hasn’t been a big adjustment for their daughter, either, because nothing has really changed for her.
When Tatum is around, he is a great dad. And, when Tatum and Jenna Dewan co-parent, they continue to have the same goals for Everly, with the most important thing being that she knows she is loved.
The former couple, who met on the set of the 2006 dance film Step Up, released a joint statement in April announcing their split. They said that they still love each other, but they are both on different paths now.
Tatum, 38, recently revealed at the premiere of his newest movie Smallfoot, that he is ready to get back to work, but he isn’t sure if he wants to act, direct, or produce. He added that he has no clue what he will be doing, but he is having fun.
The Magic Mike star explained that he took a break from working on constant projects because he wanted to prioritize spending time with Everly, and that is the biggest job he has.
The proud dad couldn’t help but brag about his only child’s independent personality and said that during her dance class, she rolls around on the ground and does her own thing while everyone else is doing the proper stuff. Channing Tatum admits he wishes he could take credit for that, but he can’t because it is all her.
