Chance The Rapper John Mayer And SZA Will Perform At A Charity Concert In Commemoration Of Mac Miller

Following Mac Miller’s death near the ending of the summer, the music world is still reeling from the news. In commemoration of the late 26-year-old rapper, Chance the Rapper, SZA, and John Mayer, are scheduled to perform a benefit concert for the artist.
On Tuesday, Live Nation revealed that Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, and Miguel, would also be at the concert scheduled at the Greek Theater in LA. It’s called, “Mac Miller: A Celebration Of Life,” and will be on Halloween.
Ticket selling begins on Monday, and much of the proceeds will go to the Mac Miller Circles Fund. In August, authorities found the 26-year-old Miller dead in his home after a drug overdose.
Coroners conducted an autopsy, but the results of it have not been released to the public yet. Miller’s mother, Karen Meyers, said in a statement that she is forever grateful and appreciative of the tremendous outpouring of support she’s received.
“It’s a testament to Malcolm’s incredible life,” she remarked. Some other stars at the show include Earl Sweatshirt, Action Bronson, Vince Staples, ScHoolboy Q, and Anderson Paak.
As fans of the Swimming creator know, he dated Ariana Grande shortly before he lost his life in the final month of Summer. While many were supportive of Ariana, some online took to Instagram and Twitter to lay the responsibility for his death on her.
Fans suggested that it was their breakup that caused him to take drugs and subsequently die from them. However, in the past, Grande said she actually broke up with him because he wasn’t taking care of himself as much as he should’ve.
Other rappers to pass away from drugs includes Lil’ Peep, who died near the beginning of the year. Lil’ Peep lost his life on his tour bus.
After Mac died, Kendrick Lamar posted a tribute on his behalf as well as the fellow rapper, Logic, who released a new album with one song dedicated to Miller.
