The producers of Celebrity Big Brother want the cast to spill some big secrets this season, so they are doing something different to make sure that happens – changing the alcohol policy. In the past, the bigwigs have limited alcohol consumption, but not this time around. Will the cast take full advantage of the reality shows’ new, wide-open alcohol spigot?
According to TMZ, the plan is already working. Cast members Omarosa Manigault Newman, Ross Matthews, Brandi Glanville, James Maslow, and the others have indulged in the boozy truth serum every night since they entered the house on January 31st.
The biggest reason for the policy change was because producers wanted Manigault Newman to tell all about her time in the Trump White House, and she has apparently already started. She tearfully confessed to Matthews about being “haunted” by the President’s daily tweets and claimed his inner circle kept her as far away from Trump as they could.
When he asked her if anyone has confronted him about his tweeting, she said that she made an attempt, but then “all of the people around him attacked me.”
She went on to tell Matthews that it isn’t her circus and they aren’t her monkeys, so she’d like just to be done with it and say it’s not her problem. But, she can’t, because that would be bad.
Matthews then asked her if people should be worried and she nodded her head, to which he replied, “Don’t say that.”
During the show’s premiere, Manigault Newman reflected on her time as a member of Team Trump and said that the Celebrity Big Brother house was a lot like the White House because there are a lot of people who want to stab her in the back.
She added that the one thing she learned in politics is that you always have to watch your back, and sometimes your front.
After CBS aired the first episode, White House Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah responded to Manigault Newman’s appearance on the show by saying that Trump fired her three times on The Apprentice and once in the White House. She had limited access to the President when she was on staff, and now she has no access at all.
Late Show host Stephen Colbert also weighed in, sarcastically responding to her admission of being haunted by Trump’s tweets by saying “Out here it’s been the Trumpityville horror.”
He also gave Manigault Newman a tip – just because you whisper on a reality show doesn’t mean Trump can’t hear it. Catch all the drama on Celebrity Big Brother on CBS.
