We hear that Carrie Underwood’s horrible accident has had its perks as well, as difficult as it is to believe! Although the star is still struggling with the trauma of getting 40 to 50 stitches to her face, apparently, the silver lining of it all is the fact that the fall strengthened her marriage to Mike Fisher!
Just a couple of days ago, Carrie made her very first public appearance ever since the terrifying accident.
She was in attendance at the ACMs on April 15, and it is safe to say that scar or no scar, she looked stunning.
One insider explained that ‘Carrie has had a lot of time to reflect while recuperating, and she has come back stronger and wiser. She used to take a lot for granted, but now she is getting back to the basics and focusing on what actually matters to her: family and her music. She and Mike were constantly fighting after he decided to come out of retirement.’
As you may be aware, despite announcing his retirement at the end of the 2017 Stanley Cup Finals, Mike then decided to rejoin the Nashville Predators.
Carrie took to social media to celebrate his return, tweeting: ‘Fish is back! So proud of you, baby! We want the cup!’
However, we hear that behind the scenes she was quite upset as she had hoped they’d use his free time to focus on getting pregnant and making their 3-year-old son a big brother.
‘She was angry at first, but then she realized that attitude wasn’t helping anybody. Carrie is being a lot more supportive these days, and they’re taking it one day at a time. Mike gave his reasons for wanting to get back on the ice, and she understands. He needs to feel fulfilled.’
As for Carrie, following her injury, ‘She is writing songs and is ready to get back on stage. Plus, giving mike Space to follow his passion has done wonders for their marriage.’
