We hear that Carrie Underwood’s face is recovering nicely, five months after she fell on her property and had to get 40 to 50 stitches! The star took to her own website to update fans on her recovery as well as inform them about the new music coming up.
This is the very first time the singer and actress is releasing an update on her health since telling us about the scary accident back in November.
Now, Carrie got candid about the recovery process as well.
‘Physically, I am doing pretty darn good these days! My wrist’s almost back to normal, about 90% there …. and the docs say that last 10% will come in time. And my face’s been healing rather nicely as well. I definitely feel a lot more like myself than I have in a while,’ Carrie wrote.
Although the accident affected her a lot, both physically and mentally, in the end, she was able to find some positivity in it all.
‘One of the silver linings for me in this healing process is the time I have gotten to spend with (my husband) Mike [Fisher] and (son) Isaiah. I have been calling it ‘forced relaxation.’ Sometimes I think things happen just to make us slow down. It also means I have been home to support my favorite hockey player coming out of retirement!’
But more than talking about her recovery, Underwood’s post was meant to update her loyal fans on new music.
That being said, the star confirmed a new single is set to be released on April 11, aka tomorrow!
The song is titled ‘Cry Pretty,’ and as the title suggests, it is about what she went through after the accident.
‘The title refers to when emotions take over, and you just cannot hold them back. It speaks to a lot of things that have happened in the past year, and I hope when you hear it, you can relate those feelings to those times in your life. It is emotional. It is real. And it ROCKS!’

Carrie also shared the new single’s artwork in which she is wearing a lot of makeup, and the lighting is too strong to see the scar.
Are you excited to hear the new song?
