Carrie Underwood recently revealed that she actually endured three miscarriages between 2017 and 2018. The country singer, who is currently expecting a child with Mike Fisher, explained her situation during an interview on CBS’ Sunday Morning.
“Yeah, it happens,” the star remarked. She said she and her husband kept trying to have a child, but the miscarriages repeated. “And I got pregnant in the spring, and it didn’t work out.”
Carrie asked herself, “Okay, like, what’s the deal? What is all of this?” Carrie explained that she and her husband understand how fortunate they are to live their lives, so she tried not to be angry with herself and her circumstances.
But she couldn’t help but feel a little bit down about it. According to the singer, one evening when her husband was gone away, she snuggled with her son, Isaiah, while, at the time, she thought she was going to have a fourth miscarriage.
The star felt conflicted over the fact that she kept getting pregnant, but continued to suffer miscarriages. It was a cruel irony that really bothered her.
However, the following Monday, she went to the doctor and the medical professional told her she was successful and “everything was great!” As it was previously reported, Underwood revealed she was holding back from telling the world about her pregnancy.
She spoke about why she didn’t choose to tell all of her fans about her baby explaining that one never knows what will happen, so it’s best to make sure the news is official, before announcing it to the world.
It’s safe to say Carrie has had a tough year. The star suffered a fall outside her home earlier in the year one evening and had to get nearly 40-50 stitches in her face. People online were very concerned with her appearance, but after a few social media posts and an interview, she looked as beautiful as ever.
