Following her terrifying accident, Carrie Underwood is apparently an ’emotional wreck.’ Fans may remember that the star suffered a brutal fall that caused her to not only break her wrist but also horribly injure her face. She reportedly fell outside of her own home back in November.
One source revealed that ‘Carrie’s been having nightmares,’ ever since the accident took place.
Her days following the fall have been like an ‘emotional rollercoaster.’
‘She hates looking in the mirror. She has felt like she was losing it. She has been total wreck. Carrie’s gone through hell – still afraid that she might never be back to her old self,’ the source shared.
At the same time, two of her pals have claimed that the accident’s timing is a bit unclear.
Carrie’s rep revealed in an official statement that it happened on a Friday night, but her friends say it was in the morning.
Reportedly, she needed two reconstructive surgeries as a result of her accident, but when she decided to open up to her loyal fans about the recovery process, she did not mention any such procedures.
‘Carrie’s been hiding ever since her accident. She has been afraid to reveal what she looks like. But she is hopeful she’ll eventually feel secure enough to show her face again.’
The sure thing is that the actress needed 40 to 50 stitches for her facial injuries and surgery to fix her wrist.
Carrie took to social media to warn her fans that she may look totally different after healing, which sparked speculations that she may have used this as an excuse to get plastic surgery.
‘I honestly do not know how things are going to end up but I do know this: I’m grateful,’ she wrote.
She also mentioned that she is planning on returning in front of the camera when ready.
