Disappointing news for the fans who were looking forward to watching the rapper on stage alongside Bruno Mars. Cardi B announced that she has decided to pull out of the tour they were supposed to leave together on. The reason? – Her baby, Kulture.
Despite the fact that the star was previously confident she will do both the tour and take care of her newborn even if that would mean taking her along, she is now realizing that is not a realistic option.
That being said, in a lengthy message, Cardi B explained that she is not ready to leave the newborn so soon after her birth.
‘As of today, I’ve decided I won’t be joining Bruno on tour this fall. I thought that after giving birth to my daughter, that six weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically. I also thought that I would be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing. Not only am I not ready physically, I am not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it is not healthy for her to be on the road,’ Cardi shared with her Instagram followers.
Cardi hopes the fans understand her decision and made it very clear she is upset about not being able to go on tour as well.
Ultimately, she needs to think about what is best for her baby and for herself.
She concluded her letter by thanking Bruno Mars for his understanding and support.
Mars also took to the platform to assure her once again that ‘Most important thing is you and your family’s health. You’re absolutely doing the right thing. I also know we will share the stage when the time is right. We love you Cardi, and we’ll play ‘Bodak Yellow’ every night in your honor.’
