Previously, Miller said in an interview with Vulture that he had experienced a lot of pressure as a result of fame and his career. Growing up in the public eye has been tough on him, especially because of his struggles with drug addiction.
Miller said, “It’s annoying to be out and have someone come up to me and think they know” what’s going on with him. However, he admitted that it comes as a part of the job, and it’s what he “signed up for.”
After his Macadelic tour in 2012, Miller told the world that he turned to drugs as a way of dealing with all of the stress. “I love lean,” the rapper remarked, referring to the drink whereby users mix codeine and other pharmaceuticals with soda.
He said a lot of his friends were really worried about him, but in the months prior to his death, he was working hard at turning his life around. As it was previously reported, Grande and Miller broke up in May shortly before he crashed into a utility pole and fled the scene of the crime.
