The Riverdale actress made sure to defend her romance with co-star Charles Melton! Camila Mendes slammed one fan who trolled their new relationship and who went a bit too far in a comment.

The social media user told her that she ‘looked happier’ with her ex and Camila was offended.

‘I feel really silly responding, but I feel the impulse to tell you that you are wrong. I am happier than I have ever been in my life. It is absurd to me that you can call yourself a fan, yet your whole page is dedicated to disrespecting my relationship and boyfriend, both of which you know nothing about.’ Yikes!

Considering the fan had reached that conclusion after seeing a pic of Camila with a pretty sour facial expression, the actress felt the need to further explain: ‘Charles and I were on our way to shoot a self-tape, which he helped me out with all day. Literally stopped everything that he was doing just to help me tape the perfect audition.'

'I was running the lines in my head without knowing there was a pap taking photos of us,’ she went on to say, revealing that she was just really focused and not upset.

It sounds like the fan was as wrong as one can be and Charles might just be the ideal boyfriend!

As you may remember, the new couple confirmed their romance on October 7 with a super cute Insta post featuring both of them.

The dating rumors, however, had been going around for a long time after some fans claimed they’d seen the two hanging out together.

Finally, the pic that showed Camila snuggling up to her new beau as Charles was kissing her forehead left no space for doubt that they were an item!

‘Mine,’ the 24-year-old Riverdale star captioned the sweet pic as to make it as clear as possible they were indeed together.
