Calvin Harris showed a really emotional response to an impressively moving performance that happened on the Sunday evening edition of X Factor. The Scottish DJ had to judge the boys’ category after they joined Nicole Scherzinger, former member of the Pussycat Dolls and also their mentor, at her home found in the South of France. This happened during the judges’ houses stage in the show.
After he gave his opinion on the first 5 participants, Calvin had some really emotional reactions for Matt Terry. Perhaps it was related to his fragile state, given that earlier this year he abruptly ended his relationship with singer Taylor Swift. As such, when he saw the young singer perform a very touching version of Michael Jackson’s “She’s Out Of My Life”, he almost cried.
Moreover, when hearing about the fact that the boy had chosen this song (which talks about a split up with a girl) especially because he was going through a break-up from a long-term relationship himself, this might have triggered something in Harris. He pointed to the light and said that with such a romantic light, he simply had to perform the song.
Later on, Nicole Scherzinger took him in her team, thus making him a “Scherzy boy”. Even she was moved by the song too, probably also for personal reasons, since last year she also broke up with Lewis Hamilton. After that, Calvin Harris and Nicole were teasing each other on who was more touched and more emotional with the moment there.
After he was received by Nicole, Matt joined Ryan Lawrie and Freddy Parker in the final three contestants, as the show is quickly approaching the live shows. The next episode of the X Factor will take place on Saturday evening and it will be broadcast on ITV1 at 8 PM.
