Bravo Boss Andy Cohen Weighs In On Those Vanderpump Rules Las Vegas Rumors
Now that Lisa Vanderpump has left Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to focus on her numerous businesses, philanthropy, and Vanderpump Rules, rumors are starting to swirl that another show could be in the works. Will the staff of LVP’s new Vegas Cocktail Garden star in a Vanderpump Rules spinoff?
A reality show that highlights the Vegas hospitality industry could be fun to watch, but Andy Cohen says that it’s not a good idea. According to Reality Tea, Cohen says that what makes Vanderpump Rules so successful is that the cast has a history together and there is a reason behind their interactions.

“It’s not a show where you can just turn cameras on in a new place,” says Cohen. “Lindsay Lohan tried to do it with the Lohan beach thing. There also needs to be some rooting interest of why all these people are there together.”
However, Cohen admits that Vanderpump knows both the reality TV business, as well as the restaurant business. And, if anyone could make it happen it would be her. He explained, though, that Vanderpump Rules works because LVP has known the cast for years, and they gave fans a reason to tune in.
At first, the show piqued interest because it features Scheana Marie, who had an affair with RHOBH alum Brandi Glanville’s husband. That situation brought the drama, and then the SUR staff kept viewers coming back because they were so entertaining to watch.
Now that Vanderpump has left Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she has some more time to work on other projects, so another spinoff isn’t completely out of the question. But, if fans are hoping that she will return to RHOBH, they are going to have a long wait ahead of them.

Cohen says that he hopes LVP will eventually go back to the show that made her a household name, and there are examples in the Housewives franchise of that happening. NeNe Leakes took a year off from Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Bethenny Frankel took a three-year break from Real Housewives of New York City.
But, Vanderpump had such a huge falling out with her co-stars, the possibility of her coming back after a short break isn’t very likely.
Now that LVP is out at Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Cohen says that they will be adding a new full-time cast member for Season 10, which will begin shooting later this year.
