Kelly Dodd has a new friend on the Real Housewives of Orange County. Season 14 will introduce the show’s newest cast member in Braunwyn Windham-Burke, who apparently has a lot in common with Vicki Gunvalson’s biggest enemy.
Windham-Burke was reportedly brought on as a replacement for Gunvalson, who was rumored to have been demoted to part-time status for the new season. For fans, it feels appropriate that she would hit it off with Dodd straight away.
According to Radar Online, Windham-Burke was spotted enjoying a night on the town with Dodd and her other RHOC co-star Shannon Beador. Eyewitnesses say the ladies had a great time at a club in the area called The Quiet Woman and danced all night long.
While the RHOC newbie, whose husband is the CEO of Channelstars, is having a great time on the show, her involvement is likely Gunvalson’s worst nightmare. But given how fast Windham-Burke has bonded with Dodd, she probably isn’t giving too much thought about the OG of the OC.
“It’s too soon to tell, but Braunwyn seems to have adapted to the other girls pretty quickly,” an insider dished.
That said, other sources claim that Windham-Burke was never meant to be Gunvalson’s replacement. Producers were reportedly thinking about adding Windham-Burke prior to Gunvalson’s demotion. Either way, insiders say that the former full-time cast member was “crushed” when she learned that she lost her orange.
For those that do not know, Windham-Burke is a blogger who spends the majority of her time writing and taking care of her seven children. Her oldest child is around the age of 18 while her youngest was born last year. Her husband, meanwhile, is in the tech industry and helps companies market their brands.
Vicki Gunvalson has not commented on Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s involvement next season.
Filming for Season 14 of the Real Housewives of Orange County is currently underway. The series is expected to return to Bravo later this year.
