Christmas will not be so gloomy after all for Brad Pitt if the latest rumors circulating on the Internet have any legs.
It is being reported that Mr. Pitt’s former wife, Jennifer Aniston, who is apparently going through some marital problems with her current husband, Justin Theroux, has decided to flee the California heat for the great sledding terrain and snow-tubing hills in Aspen, Colorado.
Aniston is aware that Pitt was going to be more or less alone for the year-end festivities, so she has invited him along for the trip.
It was reported a few weeks ago, that Angelina Jolie has once more found a way to infuriate her estranged husband.
The former couple had agreed a while back that for the Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays their six children — Maddox, 16, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 9 — would spend some quality time in California with their father.
Jolie allegedly changed her mind and made him look like the bad guy while at it.
The humanitarian and actress decided to change her plans last minute to travel to Cambodia with the large clan.
A source told Hollywood Life: “Angie wants to take the children away for Christmas. She would love to travel to Cambodia and spend the holidays there. However Brad wants to spend time with the children too, so he is begging Angelina to stay in town.”
Pitt decided not to fight with his wife and instead he wished her happy holidays during a brief telephone conversation.
The actor, who was recently in rehab, decided to focus on himself and his friends for the Christmas weekend.
The publication that broke the news made it clear that Pitt and Aniston have not rekindled their romance — they are good friends, that is all.
Additionally, the trip to Aspen is not a romantic. Pitt and his ex-wife will be joined by several well-known celebrities including Aniston’s BFF, Courteney Cox, Sandra Bullock, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jason Bateman.
Some fans say the pair has been spending a lot of time together which could spell trouble for Aniston’s marriage in the long run, but they do not seem to care.
