Bode And Morgan Miller Break Down As They Tell All About Their Toddler’s Tragic Death

There is no denying that while the tragedy happened all too fast, it will forever mark the lives of the pained mother and father. Bode Miller and his wife Morgan Miller, as you may be aware, lost their daughter Emeline only 19 months after her birth.
The toddler tragically drowned in a neighbor’s pool and now, the mourning couple is opening up about the horrible accident in an interview on Today.

Morgan, a volleyball player, started by sharing with host Savannah Guthrie that the children would go swim along with their dad every morning, so it was just a day like any other, and that is not when it happened.
After swimming for hours the family went to a birthday party.
Upon returning, the Olympic skier father left with his oldest daughter to her softball game.
In the meantime, the mom took the boys and little Emmy to one neighbor’s place.
Apparently, they are all close like family and would visit almost daily.
As the boys were playing in the bedroom, Emmy was walking close by, back and forth.
Morgan realized that suddenly, it was very quiet and then noticed some light was coming in through the back door, which was previously closed.
‘My heart sank, and I opened the door, and she was floating in the pool,’ the mother recalled tearfully.
The woman was fast to jump in and start CPR while the neighbor called the emergency number, but unfortunately, it was too late – Emmy passed away in the hospital the next day.
‘There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t pray for the opportunity to go back to that day and make it different, but now we have this opportunity to make other parents’ days different. This should be the number one thing that we talk about,’ Morgan said, explaining that they are trying to prevent other tragedies by shining a light on it.
