Blink-182, the rock band that first came to prominence in the 1990’s with songs like, “All The Small Things,” are about to start their residency in Las Vegas, the Sin City of the United States.
Vegas has become a popular destination for artists including Lady Gaga, Zedd, Calvin Harris, and Britney Spears, as it’s a great way for the entertainer to make money without traveling far distances.
Reportedly, the production is called, “Kings Of The Weekend,” and it starts in May of this year. In a press release published, the band announced they would take the stage once again to perform their legendary tracks, tell their lewd stories, and bring together twenty-five years of songwriting and experience.
As you may know, the original singer and guitar player of the band, Tom DeLonge, abruptly and famously quit the band back in 2015.
Since then, DeLonge has become famous for being a particular individual, some might even say “crazy,” as the rock star has made several public appearances including on Joe Rogan’s podcast where he claimed to have secret information about alien visitations hidden by the US government.
Mark Hoppus, the bassist and primary singer of the band, said in a statement released by Jon Gray of the Palms Casino that he and the rest of the group were excited to perform there.
Jon claimed blink-182 is the type of band that blends a lot of different genres and appeals to several generations of music lovers; it will undoubtedly be a success. It’s a pleasure to have them at the casino.
Mark joked that maybe he and the rest of the band could “get married on stage.” As you may know, Vegas is famous for marrying visiting Americans without traditional institutional backing.
