The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants might be facing its biggest hurdle yet – Blake Lively. Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, and America Ferrera have all agreed to reunite for another film in the hit franchise, but their bestie Lively is reportedly holding out. Why won’t Lively do any more Sisterhood movies?
Lively’s co-stars are reportedly worried that she has gotten too famous to star in another Sisterhood film. Lively is currently on the road promoting her latest movie, A Simple Favor, and has done well for herself since the original Sisterhood movie. She is also spending a lot of time with her two kids with hubby Ryan Reynolds and being a good mom is her top priority.
While Bledel and Tamblyn are trying to get the studio to pick up the script for a third installment, nobody is willing to pull the trigger unless everyone is on board.
Even if Lively signs on, inside sources told Radar Online that her co-stars might regret meeting her diva demands. Lively has not given a definitive answer on the project, but everyone else will have to adjust their schedules if she says yes.
“One thing is for sure, if Blake does sign on, everything would have to be on her first-class schedule,” the insider dished.
Tamblyn and Bledel are currently working on a script for a third Sisterhood movie. Unfortunately, the project could remain in development unless Lively changes her mind soon and agrees to reunite for one last journey.
Until then, Lively is keeping plenty busy at home with her children and husband. In fact, Reynolds recently opened up about Lively’s importance in his life and how she helped reconciled him and his estranged father, James.
The Deadpool 2 star’s dad was a rough character growing up. His father was an ex cop and former boxer with an explosive temper, something Reynold’s believes made him anxious and “twitchy.” Although Reynolds gets along fine with his three older brothers, his relationship with his dad has always been strained.
That all changed when Reynolds and Lively had their first child together in 2014. The couple named their daughter after his dad, who got to meet her before passing away in 2015 from Parkinson’s disease. Reynolds says that Lively was the driving force behind their reconciliation and that he’s forever grateful that he could amends before his father died.
Blake Lively has not commented on the rumors surrounding The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
