Billy Bush has come forward in a new New York Times opinion piece to confirm that the voice heard on the Access Hollywood tape that went viral before the 2016 presidential election is indeed that of President Donald J. Trump. Known as the “Access Hollywood Trump Tape” many thought the recording would render Trump out of the running as it was filled with disparaging and misogynistic comments.
Many women were infuriated after listening to then-candidate Donald Trump describe sexually aggressive gestures he makes to celebrity women. The Washington Post released the tape on October 7, 2016, approximately one month before the election.
After hearing recent comments from the President, Billy Bush went forward with his piece to clear the record and confirm that the President is the person speaking in the tape.
Though many people appreciated Billy Bush stepping forward, others pointed out that there really was no question that Trump is the one who was speaking, as he had previously confirmed it, First Lady Melania Trump spoke about it and confirmed that it was President Trump, and there is a video of the recording that you may see below.
Billy Bush stated the following in his opinion piece.
“President Trump is currently indulging in some revisionist history, reportedly telling allies, including at least one United States senator, that the voice on the tape is not his. This has hit a raw nerve in me.”
Since President Trump issued an apology statement to his family and the American people, the public wasn’t in doubt about the tape’s authenticity.
The recent resurfacing of the Access Hollywood Trump Tape and the new suggestion that the tape was fake has prompted some humorous, witty, and sarcastic Twitter responses.
Others have questioned if Billy Bush is vying to get back in NBC now that Matt Lauer has been fired. You can check out the video and some Twitter responses below.
Please be warned, the full Access Hollywood Trump tape is not safe for children. Comments were made about Days of Our Lives actress Arianne Zucker and Access Hollywood co-host Nancy O’Dell.
I see Billy Bush neglected to mention in his op-ed that some of the women Trump was speaking disgustingly about were his colleagues.

I'm glad Billy Bush confirmed it was Trump in the Access Hollywood tape. Before, I had but my own eyes and ears and Trump's own admission to go on.
