Bill Cosby Posts Thank You Note To Snoop Dogg From Prison After The Rapper Tweets 'Free Bill Cosby' And Social Media Is Outraged!
While a lot of social media users could see where Snoop Dogg was coming from when he slammed Gayle King, when Bill Cosby joined the conversation, he did not get any nice responses. In fact, people were pretty outraged that he was even posting in the first place!
As you know, Cosby is currently in prison for sexual assault.
However, after dragging Gayle King for bringing up Kobe Bryant’s rape case from 2003, Snoop Dogg also decided to show some support to him, calling out for Bill to be freed!
In response, the actor who has been sentenced to 3 to 10 years in prison wrote a thank you message to the rapper.
‘Snoop – when they brought me to my gated community and placed me inside of my penthouse, they did not win nor did they silence me. It is so sad that successful Black Women are being used to tarnish the image and legacies of successful Black Men, even after death. Are these people that in need of fame, ratings and/or money? On behalf of myself, Camille and my family, thank you, thank you and thank you.’
He went on: ‘My heartfelt prayers are with Kobe and his family, as well as with Michael Jackson and his family. May their legacies live on forever.’
It did not take long for Snoop to respond, writing: ‘Love u uncle bill. 🤜🏾🔥💯.’
As you can imagine, a lot of fans sided with Snoop at first, since it felt inappropriate to mention a dismissed case, especially after Kobe’s tragic passing.
However, they started to get outraged when the rapper defended Bill Cosby.
Not only that, but they were also confused as to why Cosby was allowed to be on social media in prison!
Here are a couple of their reactions: ‘Idk who needs to hear this but adding ‘free Bill Cosby’ to your defense of Kobe is doing the opposite of what you think it’s doing. Out here looking f***ing stupid.’ / ‘When Bill Cosby dictates a tweet from prison to defend you, you’re probably on the wrong side…’
