Big Sean Reflects On Beef With Kendrick Lamar
Hot New Hip Hop said today that Kendrick Lamar and Big Sean haven’t gotten along with one another in years. Kendrick fired shots at him in a diss-track and Big Sean responded, however, neither party has expressed clearly why they don’t like each other.
While every hip-hop fan loves to see quarreling between some of the most prominent members of the scene, others believe the pair of men should put it all behind them and start working on a project together again.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, approximately one week before Big Sean drops Detroit 2 including the song “Deep Reverance,” in which he features a track from Nipsey Hussle, fans picked apart one of the rapper’s lyrics to uncover the meaning.
According to Big Sean, when Nipsey Hussle was tragically killed in March of 2018, the rapper spoke with Kendrick Lamar immediately on the phone. He said there were no “real” problems between them to begin with.
As most know, rap feuds are part of what makes the genre so entertaining to fans, however, sometimes they become fatal, including the death of legendary artists like Tupac Shakur, The Notorious BIG, and more.

Regarding Kendrick Lamar, he hasn’t responded to the news, however, he has laid low over the last couple years following the incredible success of D*MN, which was easily one of the most popular hip-hop records in years. Lamar was also inadvertently connected to Young Thug and French Montana amid the coronavirus lockdown.
French Montana, during an interview, claimed Kendrick Lamar would struggle to go toe-to-toe with him at a festival because he didn’t have as many “hit songs” as him. His remarks were the subject of ridicule from other rappers including Young Thug and more.
Big Sean, on the other hand, was in the headlines when he commemorated the death of his ex-girlfriend, Naya Rivera, who passed away in a fatal drowning earlier this summer. The Glee actress went rented a pontoon boat with her 4-year-old son and never returned.
Big Sean took to his account to praise Naya following her tragic passing, explaining how he “cherished” every moment they ever had, the good and the bad.
