Beyoncé – One Former Co-Star Reveals She’s Been Dreaming Of Winning An Oscar For Years!
Beyonce can definitely do anything! Apparently, one of her dreams that is yet to be accomplished is to win an Oscar!
Austin Powers in Goldmember co-star, Michael Caine, claims that the superstar has always wanted the honor of being an Oscar winner.
During an interview with Rolling Stone, Caine recalled some of the conversations they used to have on the set of the film at the beginning of the 2000s.
He also revealed that at the time, he used to call her ’Be-yons.’
‘I knew that she was a singer and had a group. I asked her ‘What do you wanna do with your life, Be-yons?’ And she said, ‘I want to win an Academy Award for acting.’ She was really good in the movie, a very competent actress, and I thought that she could get somewhere with this. She has gone far beyond my world. She is so big now.’
As fans may know, Beyonce has starred in other movies as well, including Dreamgirls, The Pink Panther and The Fighting Temptations.
And let’s be serious, no dream is too big for Queen Bey! She just has to get back into acting and that Oscar will be hers in no time!
The closest she got was for Dreamgirls.
At the Academy Awards back in 2007, the film was nominated in multiple categories, including three nominations for Best Original Song for Patience, Love You I Do and Listen.
While Beyonce was not the one who wrote the songs nominated so the trophy would not have been hers, she did perform Listen in the drama, so it was kind of close!
In the end, however, none of those tracks received the honor.
Meanwhile, even though Bey has not been on the big screen for a long time, she did borrow her voice to the character of Nala in the upcoming The Lion King live-action release.
