It looks like the lawyer of Bethenny Frankel’s ex Jason Hoppy slammed the reality TV star during yesterday’s court appearance. The woman claimed her ex harassed her continuously!
Allan Mayefsky, Frankel’s legal representative, stated that this would be ‘a case where joint custody is not viable,’ and that is because Hoppy supposedly continued to harass her.
Mayefsky’s argument followed Bethenny’s request to be given full custody of their daughter Bryn, 7.
‘The harassment, the stalking and the 500 emails in 90 days, in which he called her a ‘sad, miserable, bitter old woman,’ and said, ‘I will pray for you,’ while asking about life insurance — a veiled threat — there is no way these parties can be joint custodians,’ the lawyer argued.
However, Robert Wallack, Hoppy’s attorney shot back by saying that Frankel’s ‘claims of verbal abuse and harassment are not true and not borne out by the evidence.’
The lawyer went on to say that ‘Bryn’s well-being is Jason’s single concern. The child’s thriving under the parties’ joint custody agreement and we expect that shared custody will continue.’
‘The Judge only ordered an update to the forensic evaluation. We hope there will be no further custody fights since that would not be in Bryn’s best interest,’ Wallack slammed.
One insider explained that ‘Bethenny requested the court to modify the old custody agreement. The court only granted her an updated forensic custody evaluation. The court felt they could take the next necessary steps to re-evaluate the old agreement in light of new events since it was signed.’
After the complete evaluations take place, the former couple is set to return to court on May 10.
