Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel ended her feud with Jill Zarin after Bobby Zarin tragically died from cancer last month, but a new report claims the Skinnygirl mogul is already “having second thoughts” about burying the hatchet with her former bestie. Is Zarin using Frankel to get her spot back on RHONY?
But Frankel is worried about Zarin’s true motives. “She has genuine affection for her and wants to be around for her during this difficult time, but she is starting to worry that all Jill wants is to get back on The Real Housewives show,” claims an insider.
Frankel surprisingly attended Bobby’s funeral last month, even though she and Jill had been enemies for years.
The rift between them seemed to disappear as cameras caught Frankel consoling Jill as they laid Bobby to rest.
I’m sitting around going thru photos and put together a collage of @bethennyfrankel with my family. Bobby gave me the best 1 liners and a few come to mind. “ 1 more that’s it!”and “here’s to those who wish us well and those who don’t can go $&@! Themselves!” Please share your favorite 1 liners below. Miss B…thanks for the memories tonight ❤️Jill
The 47-year-old says she didn’t expect to get so emotional at Bobby’s funeral. Instead, she thought she would pay her respects and leave. But while she was there she found out that Jill’s husband had been pushing her to make amends with Frankel and was adamant about the two repairing their relationship.
She says that she is glad that she attended and spoke to Jill because that is what Bobby would have wanted. And, with Jill dealing with such tremendous loss, their broken friendship is one less thing for her to worry about.
As for how things currently stand between them, Frankel says “we are what we are,” and just because everyone wants to make everything into something, not everything will end up tied up in a perfect box.
Frankel doesn’t think that Jill will come back to RHONY because of the different dynamic the show now has, but life must go on.
The insider claims that Jill is having a tough time and she is feeling alone, but she won’t stop talking about “the old days,” and about how much she would like to return to the show.
Many thought Frankel and Jill’s reconciliation cleared the way for Jill’s return to the popular reality show, but it seems they would rather use the drama of her life for a few cameos instead of making her a full-time cast member.
Jill left the show in 2011 after four seasons, but she did return last year for one episode. The show does mean a lot to her, and she would like for Bravo to ask her back permanently, but it isn’t likely the network will make her an offer.
Bethenny Frankel will be back when the Real Housewives of New York return later this year.
