The 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards took place last night and many celebrities walked the event’s red carpet some in their most wonderful, some in their weirdest and some wearing the ugliest outfits they could think of. It was a battle of style and elegance than few came out of unharmed.
Here’s a recap of the best, the worst and the most bizarre red carpet appearances of the night.
First of all, Mandy Moore looked goddess-like in her navy blue dress. The gown had a breath-taking plunging neckline and even tasteful rib-cage cut-outs.
At the opposite pole of fashion there was the usually fashionable Bella Thorne, but who this time opted for a meshy metallic outfit which showed just too much skin looked kitschy.
When it comes to weird outfits, Lilly Collins was queen. She looked as if she was dead in her silver dress and dark lipstick.
Another great gown was worn by Nicole Kidman, whose figure looked incredible in her high-slatted, geometric dress. Fancy!
Ariel Winter, on the other hand…not cute! Her drop waist dress with cutouts just didn’t do it for her, while her hair needed some cutting, her bangs being too long.
Kate Beckinsale’s Reem Acra ball gown was not at all ugly. However, we think that maybe it was a bit over the top for this particular event.
Amy Adams was simply stunning in a fitting white gown, joking that her daughter was on “cleavage patrol” during awards season.
Kaley Cuoco, Big Bang Theory actress, wore a really weird pink lace top with a train? Such a strange combination…just bad altogether!
Katy Mixon was very wacky in an 80s looking tie-dye wrap dress – funky, but not at all appropriate for the award season.
Finally, Jessica Biel wore a stunning black and green dress with a plunging neckline. The actress topped off the look with smoky eyes and beachy waves. Gorgeous!
