Ben Affleck's Career And Lifestyle Make It Difficult For Him To Remain Sober Experts Claim
Ben Affleck is struggling with his sobriety amid another stint in rehab. The Justice League star fell off the wagon for a third time after breaking up with his girlfriend, Lindsay Shookus, and experts now believe that his career in Hollywood might be contributing to his drinking woes.
Carol Liot, who works at a treatment facility in New York, thinks Affleck’s demanding lifestyle in Hollywood makes it hard for him to remain sober. Liot believes that Affleck is having a difficult time with the aftercare programs, especially when he is traveling for work. Coupled with all of the added attention, Liot says Affleck’s busy schedule is contributing to his desire to drink.
Whatever the cause, it is pretty clear that Affleck is struggling to stay off the booze. An inside source told People that the actor, with help from his estranged wife Jennifer Garner, checked into rehab this month and knew he needed professional help.
The source also says that Affleck has been working hard to stay sober and only recently fell off the wagon. Over the past few weeks, the Good Will Hunting star has been spotted outside of treatment facilities in Los Angeles.
Per the source, Affleck is determined to get his life back on track and is willing to stay in rehab for however long it takes.
Affleck’s return to rehab comes weeks after he and Shookus called it quits. The pair dated for the better part of a year following his split from Jennifer.
Shortly after the breakup, Affleck was spotted on a hot date with Playboy model Shauna Sexton. The two enjoyed a meal at Jack In The Box before spending the evening at his house. The next day, Affleck was seen carrying some alcohol to his home.
Ben Affleck has not commented on the reports surrounding his most recent stint in rehab.
