Bebe Rexha Fat-Shamed By Designers - She Slams Them After Refusing To Dress Her For The Grammys
It looks like the singer is having trouble finding a dress for the Grammys and the reason is just infuriating! Bebe Rexha took to social media to share a video in which she slammed the designers refusing to dress her just because she is not a ‘runway size.’
To be specific, the star, who is nominated in the Best New Artist and Best Country Duo/Group Performance categories wears size 8, and she claims to have been fat-shamed when she looked for a dress for the awards show.
‘So I get nominated at the Grammys, finally, and it is like the coolest thing ever. And a lot of times artists go and talk to designers and they make them custom dresses to walk the red carpet. I had my team hit out many designers and a lot of them don't want to dress me because I am too big,’ the 29 year old told her followers in the video.
She went on to say that ‘If a size 8 is too big, I don’t know what to tell you. And I do not want to wear your fu**ing dresses. You are saying all the women in the world who are a size 8 and up are not beautiful and that they can't wear your dresses.’
It seems like this is a real issue within the fashion world since designers refused to send dresses to Megan Mullally as well, despite the fact that she was the Screen Actors Guild Awards’ host!
Bebe went on in the clip to rant about her situation and to slam the designers that do not want to send her their creations.
Meanwhile, her caption included a very empowering message. Make sure to check it out!
