President Donald Trump found himself in hot water after he posted a tweet regarding the senator, Kirsten Gillibrand. In response, many celebrities, politicians, and the senator herself have condemned his choice of words.
He wrote on his Twitter feed on Tuesday that Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is a “lightweight,” and is a “total flunky” for Chuck Schumer.
According to the president, she would come to his office “begging” for contributions for her campaign not that long ago. He added she would “do anything for them.”
The 71-year-old reality star said she is now “fighting in the ring against” him. Gillibrand recently advised for Trump to step down due to the sexual assault and harassment allegations.
Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office “begging” for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!

The 51-year-old senator said the President’s tweet was “sexist,” because he allegedly implied she would do something sexual for campaign contributions.
However, with that said, just because she perceives something in a particular manner doesn’t make it so. Either way, Gillibrand is bringing up the charges against Trump which first reared their head during his campaign in 2016.
In an interview with CNN, the senator stated the allegations are “credible” and “numerous” considering she’s heard them in person, and Kirsten added their testimonies are “heartbreaking” to hear.
You cannot silence me or the millions of women who have gotten off the sidelines to speak out about the unfitness and shame you have brought to the Oval Office. https://t.co/UbQZqubXZv

Gillibrand said Trump couldn’t “shame her” or any of the “millions of women” who marched against him during the Women’s March in January of this year. According to Kirsten, due to his actions, words, and public policies, Trump has brought “shame” to the White House.
During a news conference at a later date, Kirsten once again talked about Trump’s tweet. Gillibrand stated it was a “sexist smear” to attempt to “silence” her and she will not keep quiet.
She added people are speaking up now, including the men and women who “marched against the president” as well as his policies earlier this year.
